Lindsey Hinds, LCSW

Hello! I’m Lindsey (She/her)

Licensed Psychotherapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in life transitions, anxiety, and relationship issues. As a former Certified Child Life Specialist and Pediatric Social worker, I have expertise with children and adolescents in a clinical setting. I’m practical in my approach to patients, always allowing a safe space to share and process. I lead with a strengths base approach.

I completed my professional internship at St Joseph hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and my early work experience at Mott Children’s hospital at the University of Michigan. Here, I was able to gain experience with life transitions, anxiety, and chronic illness. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Masters in Social Work specializing in Interpersonal Practice and Medical Social Work. My focus now is partnering with individuals (child, adolescent, or adult) to navigate life’s challenges and promote improvement in wellbeing. I offer virtual talk therapy.

I offer telehealth, videoconferencing allowing you to experience therapy in the comfort of your home. We will communicate and see each other just as if we were in the same room.

The only necessary piece of equipment is a computer with a camera or a smart phone. I offer a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My Approach & Values

I would characterize my style as being one of openness and warmth. I have an authentic interest in the human spirit.

I hold out hope for more peace in today’s fast-paced world while knowing it can start with how we each feel inside. The client’s needs and goals are the nucleus of each session. Therapy should be collaborative between the client and the therapist, with a trusting relationship as the foundation.

While fostering personal responsibility and problem solving, the goal is to learn through guided insight and self-awareness. This leads the client to handle current and future situations with more confidence, understanding of patterns and overall wellbeing. I believe in each client’s potential to grow and experience joy!
